Why do Men’s Reading Glasses Make the Best Christmas Gift?

Finding that perfect gift to give your husband on special occasions like his birthday, your wedding anniversary or Christmas can be brain-racking as the prospect of missing the mark and disappoint him hangs overhead like vultures ready to swoop down and feast on dead meat.  Most wives just can’t bear seeing the look of frustration on their husband’s eyes.

And you thought you have known him all these years like the back of your hand, yet finding him a gift is always a challenge.  Guess what, you are not alone.  That’s why it is recommended that you “role-play” for a while.  Think and feel like your husband and start to look at things his way.  You might find some clues.

But to cut to the chase, why not give him a pair of men’s reading glasses?

There are four reasons why men’s reading glasses would make a perfect gift:

1. If your husband wears a pair of reading glasses, and has not bought a new pair in years, you are making an investment not an expense.

2. It’s thinking “out-of-the-box”.  Not too many wives would think about giving a new pair of reading glasses as gift. What top their list are mundane gifts like pair of socks, handkerchiefs and belts.

3. There is an existing need, which your husband may be too busy to consider.

4. Men’s reading glasses are the most thoughtful expression of your love for him.

However, if your husband does not wear reading glasses you can make a mental note of these additional tips that may prove just as helpful in finding the best gift for him:

1. Know what interests him.  Does he have a new hobby?  Is there something he is passionate about?  If he is into painting and you have a budget for new paint brush, don’t hesitate - give him a set.

2. Know his favorites.  Yes, men can be vain, too!  Does your husband have favorite cologne, shaving musk or a brand of perfume he wears like second skin?  Surely, he would not mind receiving these as gifts on his birthday, your wedding anniversary, on Valentine’s or on Christmas.  Just exercise a little imagination on your gift wrappings to create variety.

3. Know his wants.  Needs are those things your husband can’t go without, such as his pair of socks, and “wants” are those things that sometimes come with the “guilt” tag.  Your husband understands that his family’s needs come first than his wants and so he makes the selfless sacrifice of putting them off, until finances warrant, but for some these simple wants can remain as nothing more than wishful thinking.

You need not wait too long to accomplish a simple want.  You can make things happen right now.  Start to make a list of hints you gather during casual conversations with him and save up for those items your husband fancies about.  You will be surprised that he may just want to go to a dinner and a late movie date with you!

Cool Reading glasses come handy as they are functional, “out-of-the-box” gift idea, and flexible pieces of accessory that complement whatever get-up your husband may have the mood for.    Surprise your husband this Christmas with a new pair and who knows? You might just get kissed!

Anyone know where I can purchase mini glass tiles for making chiyogami jewelry?

Alot of people are making chiyogami jewelry out of glass tiles and scrabble tiles and I've been bitten ever since I laid eyes on one. Anyone know where the glass tiles can be purchased? I don't want to buy kits because those only come with like 5 or 6 tiles which isn't economical, esp if you want to make a lot and I certainly do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
